In celebration of National Women’s History Month, and as a woman-owned business, 1628 Ltd. is pleased to invite you to the public viewing of our spring exhibition, The Pieces I Am: Artwork from the Sara M. and Michelle Vance Waddell Private Collection.
This exhibition celebrates the diversity of the female artistic voice including local, national, and international works of art. We will be showcasing pieces by Louise Bourgeois, Faiza Butt, Jennifer Dalton, Julia Dault, Elena Dorfman, Louise Fishman, Jane Hammond, Jenny Holzer, Sister Mary Corita Kent, Annie Leibovitz, Carolyn L. Mazloomi, Bessie Nickens, Catherine Opie, Pat Renick, Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson, Holly Schapker, Carolee Schneemann, Dana Schutz, Laurie Simmons, Lorna Simpson, Sandy Skoglund, and Wendy White.
The exhibit includes works of sculpture, tapestry, folk art, and photography. Many of these works of art have been on loan to major arts organizations but have not been on view to the public in Cincinnati and thus making their debut as iconic as the artists the works represent.
